Uhuru is inspired by expeditions to climb mountains in the wider ranges, most especially in East Africa. The summit plateau of Kilimanjaro is known in Swahili as Uhuru – which means Freedom/Independence – and has been the motivation in my life to reach for the stars and follow my dreams.
